because i've been thinking about grandpap a lot lately...and today is one month.

'spec' tacular

it's about time a company emerged that makes beautiful and trendy glasses on the cheap. behold, Warby Parker (www.warbyparker.com). all their frames are $95 (which includes prescription, anti reflective coating and shipping). and for every pair of glasses purchased they donate a pair to a person in need. i recently got for myself this pair of old school, retro Shuron's in clear but i have a feeling it won't be long until i cave in and get a second pair of the tortoise fillmore.

to band or not to band?

so i have been thinking some headbands i've recently seen are super cute. but are they for everyday girls? what age is too old for some of these whimsical pieces? and when are they really appropriate?
